Interview Javier Olmedo. Inventor and Head of Production:
How was Lucroit?
Lucroit born of a conversation between landscape photographers on the terrace of a bar after finishing photographing the sunrise.
Advocating the benefits of the Nikkor 14-24mm my colleagues told me: "Your goal does not apply to landscape, social and night only, Can not you see you can not attach any holder?“.
At that very moment that I turned on the little light within us and had just invented the filter holder and that's what I said: "You'll see for the next time I see you see me with a holder for this purpose". The reaction of the people was clear and unanimous, a trickle of laughter ran through the environment.
The following Monday I sent it a little drawing of my idea and when they saw, The first thing I said is that patenting, I was very well designed.
So I came and pulled me up the ego, so it, I went with them to Fotocasión (known trade branch in Madrid) and presented it to the store manager, on sight that told me everything I needed was made available to me. With this reaction I had and that was unexpected I worked with a great enthusiasm and with a group of high-level photographers and high discretion were gradually formed by joining a team that really are .
I must say that none of them took any money, they did it just feel part of something that is going to be a great help to photograph and address an urgent need for landscape photographer had long claimed.
What exactly have designed products?
He began designing a holder only and exclusively for Nikon 14-24, but as stated above, the collaborative team needs was increasing choice questions based: "What if this could be done for the Canon 14 who is also a monoblock?"Immediately after another jump" and the Sigma 12 -24?"And so on…
That question we seek a monoblock target list and started making design changes ,I walked part of, We had to tear down and start again. The first port was in one piece and divide it into two: a lens adapter customized to each brand and a slide to slide on the adapter. Later came another question, "He who has a 14 -24, it is more likely to have a 24-70. That what makes, Does having two sets of filters?”. And we designed it with thread adapters, so you can use them on any target, in this way has come to encompass all the objectives of market.
What are the qualities of materials?
The theme of the materials has also been a chapter to take into account.
It all started in plastic and the ring was changed to high-strength aluminum, what everyone knows as aluminum aviation, high specific strength and lighter weight.
And the carrier after doing many tests it was decided to test a plastic high impact strength and deform under extreme temperature changes.
Another issue that almost leads to failure were the filters because the width of 150mm vignetting produced in the 14 -24 Nikon 17mm to the focal and 12 -24 up to 20mm Sigma, forcing us to change the width to cover the entire focal lenses demanding. We crystals to Hitech and so rare to see a measure contacted me David Stamp (C.E.O.) The Fotrmat Hitech interest on such measures, and when he spoke of the project was so amazed that we even created a line of filters only and exclusively for us. This was a tremendous support.
What photographers aimed their products are mainly?
No doubt the landscape, and nature, in night photography gradients are using every day and also have their place.
Where can we find?
In the online store www.lucroit.com and professional photography stores.
What is the warranty and return policy?
This is a product from the beginning has been designed for the photographer, specifically for the demanding photographer who knows what he wants for his backpack and your photo gallery.
I have the great fortune to live among them and I know how demanding, rather, we.
And of course it takes a product with quality standards and rigorous checks. However, This does not mean that we go any defective, because we are human. Given this and hopefully it will not happen to us, is the total return of the same at no cost delivery charges or extra costs.

The truth is that they have a pint excellent but the price if you add Ring adapter holder filter the joke is up to the 335 € approximately and we bought in kit , So I think maybe a little expensive if prices come down a little so I could raise. Anyway great product towards truth is missing.
An article that came to be necessary for users of 14-24 and similar.
A few questions, Do the filters are made of glass or resin?
